Refund policy

Last updated 19 August 2026. This policy applies to paid studios and retainers invoiced by FileField Base. The public website does not collect payment.

Eligibility

A full refund is available if you cancel in writing before the first live session of a cohort or clinic, and before any Field Ledger critique slot is used. Partner Bench months already delivered are not reversed.

Timeframe

Send the request within 14 days of invoice payment if you have not attended a session. After the first live session, we consider partial refunds only as described below.

Full and partial refunds

Full refund: cancellation before session one, minus any bank transfer fees we cannot recover. Partial refund: if you withdraw after week 1 and before week 3 of the Operating Model Canvas Intensive, we retain 40% of the seat fee for materials and the seat we cannot resell, and return the remainder. Withdrawal after week 3 is not refundable except where Taiwanese consumer rules require otherwise.

Non-refundable items

Used Field Ledger critique slots, guest-critic honoraria already committed for your defence week, travel we booked at your request, and custom plant-walk days.

Process

Email info@filefieldbase.digital with the invoice number, the studio name, and whether you attended any session. We confirm receipt within two working days.

Processing time and method

Approved refunds are returned by the original transfer method within 21 working days after approval. We do not refund in cash at the Datong desk.

Cancellation by the studio

If FileField Base cancels a cohort, you receive a full refund of fees paid for that cohort, or a transfer to a later cycle at your choice.

Exceptions

We may refuse a refund where materials were downloaded in full and no attendance was intended, or where payment was made with a disputed instrument. Statutory rights under Taiwanese law are not limited by this paragraph where they cannot be waived.
